In North Savo, a project was implemented with the BitHabit and BitHabit wellbeing app, which gathered almost 900 BitHabit users in a month. The project encouraged people to make better health choices. The adult population in the region had the opportunity to participate in the BitHabit wellbeing survey and the BitHabit app, and the results are encouraging. Thousands of small actions were taken during the trial, improving mental well-being and physical fitness.
“The app also has a positive impact on mental well-being.”
Surveys show that people in North Savo are satisfied with their lives, but there are challenges in improving their physical fitness. The project, carried out by the University of Eastern Finland, was part of the Mindset programme, which aims to improve mental health and reduce substance abuse. The well-being app offers a cost-effective and widely accessible way to promote health, allowing for continuous data collection.
